What kind of Martial Arts do you teach?
We practice ‘Freestyle Martial Arts‘. All our instructors are black belts and bring other practices with them creating a variety of styles incorporated in each class.
What’s the difference between your style and others?
We teach a Multi-Style Martial Art that is modern and healthy, based on scientific principles rather than outdated teaching methods. We use correct technique and body weight, rather than lockouts and harmful techniques to generate power that everyone is capable of achieving. We practice a contemporary style with emphasis on reality based training and learning techniques that will work anywhere, rather than confined to a strictly controlled competitive environment that other styles practice.
What do I need to wear/ bring on my first class?
Wear sensible & comfortable loose clothing i.e. tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt and bring a drink.
What if a student has learning difficulties, ADHD, ASD or Autism?
we have first hand experience of working with students with learning difficulties, ADHD, ASD and Autism. We are very patient, understanding and will do our utmost to work with the student to achieve their goals.
If a child/student misses a lesson one week can I get a refund?
No, as our overhead costs remains the same whether there is 5 students or 20 in a class. We are unable to give refunds for any classes that are missed.
How do I pay for classes?
Payment is accepted by cash or cheque (required in advance for the term/ month depending on whether that venue runs term time only or monthly)
Do I have to obtain a licence like other schools?
Yes once you decide to join us you will have to obtain a licence as this insures you to train with us and is also a record of the grades and belts achieved. Licences run annually
Is there a belt grading system?
Yes students have the opportunity to progress through the ranks and develop their skills with the goal in achieving their 1st Black Belt
